Modular Grain Synth
Don’t be fooled by its charming good looks, the Odd-1 is a robust laboratory for modular synthesis. It also fits in your bag.
At the center is a one-of-a kind grain synth engine that allows you to grab, manipulate and overlay small pieces of audio to stretch time, warp pitch and otherwise defy the physics of sound in all manners possible.
It’s variable-speed time path enables sound design like no other synth on the market today. Stretch a sound to infinity without losing it’s natural articulation. Find that classic sample, then shape it’s movement and pitch to suit your vibe.
And the Odd-1 sounds good. Like, really good. Each sound grain is passed through a binaural spatializer so that sound can fully envelope you, calm your nerves, or give you the inspiration for a new composition.
The Odd-1 is organized in rows, like a modular rack. Every parameter can be modulated, where patch connections are as easy as plugging in a cable. Like a big modular synth the experimentation is limitless, but the Odd-1 saves your patches, fits on your desk and gives you eight or more voices for a fraction of the cost. In addition to the grain engine there are resonant filters, distortion, bit crush, compression, delay, reverb, LFOs, envelopes, and macro modules to play with.
